Cannery Row Mural

I found this giant mural of 1940s cannery workers on the back of building #225 on Cannery Row. It was painted by local artist John Cerney a few years ago. Here's a homemade video about the history of Monterey's sardine industry, although Steinbeck's book "Cannery Row" is really the best source for glimpsing what life was like on the "row."

You had me fooled. Fro the thumbnail I thought you had taken a photo of a group of people! Nice mural, and thanks for the video link.

Well-done mural! I think murals are a great way to show what the past was like.

Made for a pretty interesting movie, too.
